Rimini

Rimini

Mia Schumann
Rimini is a historic coastal city in the Emilia-Romagna region of northern Italy, located along the Adriatic Sea. Known for its long sandy beaches, Rimini is a popular tourist destination, particularly in the summer months, attracting visitors for its vibrant nightlife, beach resorts, and rich cultural heritage. The city is also renowned for its Roman and medieval architecture. Highlights include the **Arch of Augustus** (the city's ancient gateway), the **Tempio Malatestiano**, a Renaissance-era cathedral, and the **Roman Bridge**. Rimini was also the birthplace of the famous Italian filmmaker **Federico Fellini**, and there is a museum dedicated to him in the city. In addition to its historical landmarks, Rimini offers a lively promenade with restaurants, bars, and shops, making it a mix of relaxation and entertainment. Beyond the beaches, nearby attractions include the charming hilltop town of San Marino and the picturesque countryside of Emilia-Romagna. The city's blend of history, culture, and modern tourism makes it an appealing destination for both relaxation and exploration.

Getting to Rimini

Rimini, a coastal city with 10 miles of lovely sandy beach. Getting too Rimini may seem tedious but the best way to get there is by train. If you're coming from the United States, the easiest and most affordable way to get to Rimini is by flying into Milan or Bologna and then taking the train directly into the city.  The train is easy to navigate so please don't let that stop you from visiting this beautiful, out of the way, Italian beach town.

Where to Stay in Rimini

Depending on your desired vacation, Rimini offers a city life but also a beach style vacation.

If you prefer to stay near the water I would recommend staying on the coast to have easy access to the beachfront.
