I am so excited to share this road trip itinerary with you! This road trip is an absolute stunner and shouldn't be missed if you're visiting the area! It's a nice easy trip, filled with adventure, beautiful nature, and tons of quaint BC towns! 

This fully loaded guide includes a day-by-day itinerary complete with things to do in each city, hiking recommendations, places to eat and camp. 

5 Day Road Trip: Victoria to Pemberton 

> Before Squamish, stop at the Sea to Sky Gondola.  The ride up to the summit provides sweeping views of Howe Sound, the majestic coastal forest and surrounding mountains. At the top, you will have access to a wide array of outdoor experiences, including two different interpretive loop walking trails, the suspension bridge, numerous hiking trails, rock climbing, and much more.

> Still before reaching the town of Squamish, stop at Shannon Falls, directly off of HWY 99, a popular spot for hiking and picnicking. Shannon falls is the 3rd highest falls in British Columbia, rising 335 metres. 

A CHALLENGING overnight hike, but so incredibly worth it. Start by parking at Rubble Creek trailhead just off of the Sea to Sky Highway. The Rubble Creek trailhead parking is well equipped with direction signs, a map, and outhouse. Allot 6 hours to hike all the way up to the ridge. You will need a day hiking pass or overnight camping pass to enter the park. It will be checked upon park entry. Purchase online from link below. We camped at Taylor Meadows, a slightly more direct route, but both campsites are beautiful! Pack all necessary camping/survival gear and warm clothes, it snowed on us in June while we were up there! > Allow 3 hours for your hiking decent in the morning. 

>Additionally, do you love feeling the adrenaline in your bones? Check out some of these activities in Whistler. SO many options including zip lining, ATV-ing, mountain biking,  bob sledding (on the olympic track), rock climbing, bear watching, helicopter tours and much much more! 

 If you're looking for a cheap alternative to staying in Whistler Village, “Riverside Parking” is a free camp area, just north of Whistler by 11km. The turn off is to the right, and the road in is groomed gravel. There are a few small spots to park by the river, otherwise, simply park and camp along side the gravel road.

> Drive to Pemberton (20 minutes from Whistler)

 > Experience the tranquillity of the Pemberton Valley on horseback, through the quiet wooded forests, grassy fields full of wildflowers, and the local rivers.

Or, looking for a super cheap option: Mamquam River Campground (no water facilities, outhouses, cheap camp site) 

Summer Activities Whistler 

>This has to be the most manicured, well-kept campground I've ever stayed at! Absolutely gorgeous. Definitely walk the 20-30 minutes to Nairn waterfall. 

> Squamish Town Hub ( local artisan goodies) 

> Find all the murals painted throughout the town 

> If you feel like going for a bit of a drive out of town, Watershed Grill is great location right on the river (Known as the set of Jack's Bar on Virgin River)
