How to get there?
If you live in Washington, like me, you will be driving down to Hood River first, then passing Portland and onto the Willamete Valley.
But most travelers will be arriving to the Portland International Airport. I suggest heading south to the Willamete Valley area first and then up north to Hood River.
Best time to go?
I would suggest May- October to get the best weather! We went in April and got clouds for the most part & a bit of sun as we were leaving!
Need to know
If you are exploring White Salmon & Hood River there is a toll bridge where it cost $3.50 each way to cross.
They accept cash or credit.
