Day 1: Arrival and Initial Exploration

We landed in Charleroi and immediately hopped on a bus to Brussels, costing only 7 euros(for people under 26 years old). The journey was smooth and straightforward, depositing us at the bustling Midi Station. After a quick exploration of the area, we made our way to our Airbnb, eager to rest and prepare for the adventures ahead.

Day 2: Beer, Chocolate, and Iconic Landmarks

Our second day started with a visit to the Bourse, home of the Belgian Brewers Museum. The Beer Museum offers a fascinating glimpse into Belgium's rich brewing history. Visitors can see antique brewing equipment, learn about the brewing process, and of course, sample some exquisite Belgian beers overlooking a panoramic view at the top. Next, we walked to the Grand Place, the central square of Brussels, renowned for its opulent architecture and vibrant atmosphere. Just a short stroll away is the Manneken Pis, the famous little statue of a boy peeing, which draws tourists from around the world. In the afternoon, we indulged our sweet tooth at the Chocolate Museum. This delightful museum provides an immersive experience into the world of Belgian chocolate. Expect to see chocolate-making demonstrations, learn about the history of cocoa, and taste a variety of chocolates. Before heading back to our Airbnb, we visited the Cathedral of Saint Michael and St. Gudula and we were mesmerized with the stunning interiors.

Day 3: A Day Trip to Bruges

On our third day, we ventured to the capital of West Flanders-Bruges, a city famed for its medieval architecture and picturesque canals. Bruges is often described as a fairy-tale town, and it's easy to see why. Activities in Bruges include taking a boat ride along the canals, visiting the historic Belfry for panoramic views, and wandering through the Markt square. We also visited the Basilica of the Holy Blood and sampled some local delicacies.By the afternoon, we returned to Brussels and spent the evening shopping at the Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert, a stunning glazed shopping arcade filled with luxury shops and charming cafes.

Day 4: Iconic Attractions and Final Shopping Spree

Our final day in Brussels was packed with iconic attractions. We started with the Atomium, a futuristic building designed for Expo 58. The Atomium offers panoramic views of Brussels from its spheres, and visitors can explore exhibits on science and design.Next, we visited the Palace of Justice, an imposing building with an incredible view of the city from its terrace. After soaking in the sights, we returned to the Grand Place for a final look before indulging in some chocolate shopping. Belgium is known for its high-quality chocolate, and we made sure to visit famous brands like Neuhaus, Godiva, and Leonidas.

Our Belgian adventure was filled with history, culture, and, of course, delicious treats. Whether you're a fan of beer, chocolate, or medieval towns, Belgium has something for everyone.
