Day 1: Arriving at Keflavík
Iceland's international airport is located in Keflavík, so depending on your landing time you may have to consider if it would be better to sleep there or to get a transfer to Reykjavík.If you arrive late at night, my recommendation would be to sleep at Airport Aurora Hotel, as you con go walking by yourself and will not depend on any transfer at all.
If you don't land at late night, my suggestion would be to rather rent a car in advance and pick it up at the airport or to get a transfer to Reykjavík.About what to do in Reykjavík we will explain it later.
Day 2: Golden Circle + South Coast
Today, we explore the highlights of the famous Golden Circle: Thingvellir National Park, the original site of the Icelandic Parliament from the 10th century and a place where you can observe the effects of the tectonic movements of the North American and Eurasian plates.
