A Guide to Family Fun in Wichita, KS

Exploration Place is great for all ages. When my kids were younger they loved playing in the giant castle. Now that they are older we spend more time with the puzzles and in the aviation room. My favorite spot is watching the train in miniature Kansas. They have a main exhibit that is always fun to check out. It changed throughout the year. You can also catch a live science show on the weekends.

This is not your typical zoo. It is an interactive wildlife park. My favorite part is Lemar Island. Who doesn't love to have a Lemar sit on their lap? After a fun day at Tanganyika,, go a little further into Wichita and enjoy some pizza at Ziggy's Pizza Auburn Hills. It's located near the corner of 135th St West and Maple.

Lucinda's is a boutique that you don't want to miss. They have very eclectic items, definitely things that you won't see in other stores.

New market square is full of shops and restaurants. Some of the shops are Old Navy, Eddie Bauer Outlet, Marshalls, Bed Bath and Beyond, Ulta, Shoe Carnival, and Target. My favorite place to eat there is Bella Luna or Doc Greens. They also have an Olive Garden, Maddy's and much more.

There are three locations of homegrown throughout our city. This is my favorite place to go for breakfast. It is definitely one of the best in the city.

Spangles is a staple in Wichita. There are many locations throughout the city. Stop by anyone of them to experience a great burger and fries.
