Paros Greece, A Mini Guide

Paros Greece, A Mini Guide

This is a mini guide for the Island of Paros, Greece. I call it a "mini guide" because I have a larger and fuller 2 week Greek Island Itinerary. But if you're mixing and matching islands and just want to know about Paros, then this is the guide for you! Paros is increasing rapidly in popularity and it would be worth your while to get here while it is still so incredibly charming. Paros is truly stunning and I think is a far more appealing choice than flocking to Mykonos like the rest of the world. This guide will include everything that we did in Paros... tours that we loved, places we ate, beaches we went to, how to get around, and our favorite parts. It will also include things we'd have done if we had more time and things that I'd still love to see on this incredible island.

Overview

Paros is an absolute gem! We truly wish we spent a few more days here and what else we would have done will be included at the end of this guide. The water here is an unreal shade of blue. The only other place we've seen water like this was in Milos, Greece. Paros had some beautiful beaches, we loved staying in Parikia although many people also like to base themselves in Naousa. Both villages are stunning. The winery here was a highlight for us and if we had more time I'd have loved to visit some of the smaller villages on the island and check out more beaches.

Where to Stay

This airbnb was perfect for a group of four friends. We had two bedrooms and two bathrooms and a nice large living space. We also had a cute little balcony to hang out on. The best part was that it was over a bakery that the family owned! Every morning we went downstairs for bakery treats and coffee! It was an easy walk into Parikia and we spent most of our time exploring around this area and really loved it.

@planformedani
This is the area that we chose to stay in and we loved it. We could walk to restaurants, shops, and beaches. We could walk to and from the ferry port. We could also easily ride to check out other villages.

How to Get Around

We rented quads on the island for one day and used that day to hit up as many beaches as we could.  We also took taxis around the island a bit.  I would highly recommend a quad or car for getting everywhere you'd want to see!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
My name is Danielle and I have been planning trips for the past 10 years. One thing special and unique about my guides is that I am not producing guides that I didn't currently use myself. The places in my guides are places I have been, the itineraries are itineraries that I have personally followed. Everything is real and I have vetted myself. My travel planning story started with a honeymoon to Italy and since then it has grown each and every year. I love all kinds of travel! It's hard to fine a niche because I fit into so many categories. I love nature, hiking, and being outdoors. I love beaches and sunsets and sipping wine and cocktails in pretty places. I love learning about people and cultures and history. I love street art and busy cities and I also love small towns and quieter places. I will sleep in a hostel and I enjoy a beautiful hotel. I love South and Central America and I am obsessed with Europe. I've been to Asia twice and hope to get back in the next few years. I love to eat and one thing you'll always get from me are true and great reviews of places that I've personally eaten! I have just returned from Albania and I am working on guides from that trip! My full time job is as a School Leader of Social and Emotional Learning in Philadelphia. All my travel is done on school breaks and in the summer. I have still managed to visit over 36 countries and countless cities along the way. Being a teacher my whole life is about planning and I do believe I am exceptional at it. I work VERY hard to plan incredible trips and now you can hopefully benefit from that as well!
