Oradea is a city in the west side of Romania, at the border with Hungary. It is one of the most beautiful and developed cities in the country. This is a map with the main attractions of Oradea that can be visited for ✨FREE✨. I visited the city for the first time and it impressed me very much and these are some of the places that I saw and recommend. Black Eagle Passage (Pasajul Vulturul Negru)

✏️The Black Eagle Passage hosts multiple restaurants, bars and cafes that are a point of interest for the tourists, as well as for the locals. The Passage was built similarly to the famous Galleria Vittorio Emanuele in Milan. The stained glass window with the eagle is stunning and became a symbol of the whole building. 🕘It can be visited all the time 💲No entrance fee

Liberty Park (Parcul Libertății)

✏️Liberty Park is located on the Crișul Repede River side, between Libertății Street and the river. It has a very relaxing atmosphere, with people walking or simply staying on the grass and enjoying their time.

Moon Church (Biserica cu Luna)

✏️Biserica cu Luna, also called Catedrala Adormirii Maicii Domnului, is an orthodox church and one of Oradea's main attractions. It can be visited and you can also participate to the religious ceremony. 🕘Opening hours: Monday - Sunday: 8:00 - 20:00 💲Price: Free entrance

Moskovits Miksa Palace (Palatul Moskovits Miksa)

✏️The Moskovits Palace was designed by the architect Rimanoczy Kalman Jr in 1905, in the secession style. An interesting fact is that the color blue of the building was chosen by the architect because the client owned a spirit factory. Also, the balcony hides two masonic symbols: the cog wheel and the compass. In present, inside the building there are multiple apartments and law offices. ❗️It cannot be visited, but can be admired on Republicii Street.

Orthodox Synagogue (Sinagoga Mare Ortodoxă)

✏️This synagogue is the only functional synagogue in Oradea and is still used by the Jewish Community for religious services. It is built in the eclectic style and was added on the list of historical monuments in Bihor County. ❗️It cannot be visited, but if you are part of an organized group you can make a request to the Jewish Community in Oradea to visit the synagogue’s interior.

Palace of the Greek-Catholic Bishop (Palatul Episcopiei Greco-Catolice)

✏️Palace of the Greek-Catholic Bishop was built between 1903-1905 in the eclectic style. On 25th of August 2018, a fire destroyed the roof and the interior of the superior floors of the palace. The local administration took the palace under its management and it is currently in the process of reconstruction. ❗️It cannot be visited as it is currently under rehabilitation.

Regina Maria Theatre (Teatrul de stat Regina Maria)

✏️The theatre is located in The Ferdinand Square, being one of the most beautiful and imposing structures in the city. It was built quite fast, in 15 months, between 10th of June 1899 and 15th of October 1900. In today's format, the theatre has been operating since 1955 and it has two sections: Trupa Iosif Vulcan and Szigligeti Tarsulat. You can get to see the inside of the theatre if you decide to go to a show here.

Rimanóczy Palace (Palatul Rimanóczy)

✏️The Rimanóczy Palace was built in 1905 in the eclectic style, with gothic elements. It is a much simplified copy, on a smaller scale, of the Palace Cá d’Oro from Venice. The building has three floors with apartments and a high ground floor that was designed for commercial spaces. The Palace was left as inheritance to the city of Oradea by the architect Rimanóczy Senior, after his death. ❗️It cannot be visited, but can be admired on Republicii Street.

The City Hall of Oradea (Primăria Oradea)

✏️Oradea's City Hall building was designed by the architect Rimánoczy Kálmán Junior in the eclectic style. In 1902-1903, the city hall of Oradea found its home in this building. The main attraction of the whole assembly is the Clock Tower. ❗️It cannot be visited, only the Clock Tower is opened for visits.
