Optional Itinerary:

Arriving at Cambridge train station at approx 10am, leaving at approx 8pm.

10:00           Walk from Cambridge station to the Sage Blue Cafe, a 12 minute walk. Breakfast here.

11:00            Stroll to Cambridge University Botanical Gardens, a 16 minute walk to Station Road Gate entrance. You can walk up and buy access tickets or pre-book online.

Wander through the gardens and reconnect with nature.

12:30            Leave the gardens at the Brookside Gate. Walk along the River Cam on a scenic route to the Millworks Brasserie for a refreshing drink and light bite (a 16 minute walk).

14:00           Once you've replenished, take a leisurely walk further East along the river, where you'll pass by many of the cities famous historical sights; such as, the Mathematical Bridge, Bridge of Sighs and Kings College Chapel. Follow the river until you start to tire, then head to a punting dock.

15:00           See the picturesque sights from a different viewpoint as you relax upon a guided punting trip where your guide will inform you of interesting historical facts. For cheaper rates, book your punting online in advance.

16:00           Head into Cambridge town  for the beautiful streets, markets and shops. For a tasty treat to please everyone, head to the Cambridge Market Square, where many street food stands will be happy to serve you. Get lost in the streets of Cambridge and make the most of the afternoon here.

18:00           Before heading back to the train station after a busy day, stop for a hearty dinner at either the Oak Bistro or Little Petra's. If you have time before you leave in the evening, perhaps make a stop at a bar. Bar-OH is a beautiful venue that usually has live music, or for a scrumptious cocktail just 10 minutes from the station, try 196 Cocktail Bar.
