Exploring Bars

Bremen is a city of wine and beer and when you're visiting and spending time out, you don't want to miss these places:

Bremen Ratskeller
@jessicaj
Bremens Ratskeller is directly at the "Marktplatz" of the city. It's surrounded by the cathedral, the old city hall, Bremens parliament and the famous musicians statue. You cannot get more central. They offer a terrace if the weather allows and not only offer an amazing fine dining experience, but also have a very tasty wine card. They offer tours and a shop. I recommend making a reservation, because you do not want to miss this.

If the weather allows,  Bremens inhabitants are outside! While many take walks at the "Werdersee" or the "Osterdeich", you should definitely visit the "Schlachte" as we call the promenade of the river Weser. Bar after bar offers everything from coffee to beers and cocktails while watching the water.

This is also the event locations I favour: a beautiful medieval Christmas Market during December, maritime festival in autumn, dragon boat races and more. I love being out here with friends.

Blauer Fasan Bar Bremen

More of a relaxing place with an amazing menu. The best thing is the location in the famous "Böttcherstraße"

Schüttinger Gasthausbrauerei
@jessicaj
Bremen and beer belong together. No matter if you booked a tour at the iconic brewery Beck's or their visitor centre, you should still visit Schüttingers. They brew their own beers and serve it in a rustical setting where you get to socialise. I recommend a reservation if you want to visit weekend evenings or with a larger group
