Travel Tips:
Singapore is an extremely clean and safe country, in part due to their somewhat extreme enforcement of their laws. Littering and chewing gum can be punishable by public caning. But donāt let that deter you from visiting. If a police officer approaches you about something you are doing then courteously correct the issue and you will have no problem. Drugs however are taken extremely seriously. Do NOT buy or bring drugs.
It is also an extremely safe city for women, including at night and in clubs. It is highly illegal (and well enforced) when someone speaks or acts disrespectfully to a woman.
Due to proximity to the equator weather here is either hot and humid or EXTREMELY hot and humid. Leave your cotton clothes at home and opt for breathable linen or moisture wicking athletic performance fabrics and bring a light rain jacket or umbrella.
If you are attending for Formula 1 note that accommodation prices will be higher and you should definitely secure reservations in advance.
