Perfect 1 Day Woodstock/Quechee, VT Itinerary
Breakfast
Start your day off with some coffee (or beverage of choice) and some breakfast at Woodstock's iconic Mon Vert Cafe! This is such a cute spot with so many good options. My personal favorite breakfast combo is a Maple Latte and the Monte Vert Cristo breakfast sandwich (which is made on challah french toast), YUM!
TIP: Make sure to get here early, as it can get crowded, and snag a seat upstairs.
Explore Woodstock by Foot
First stop is the gorgeous Middle Covered Bridge (located less than a 5 minute walk from Mon Vert Cafe). This iconic bridge is the perfect photo op, and includes a walking path on the side. Make sure to venture to the other side of the bridge for another view.
TIP: This is an active bridge, with two way traffic, so be very careful standing in the road for photo ops.
Next stop, walk back to Elm Street and then head down the street to the Elm Street Bridge. Along the way you will pass some beautiful homes. Once on the bridge, you will want to see the view and gorgeous fall foliage from both sides.
Next you will head back the same way on Elm Street and this time, heading down Pleasant Street a few blocks to enjoy some festivally decorated homes.
It's Farm Time!
Time to drive to Sugarbush Farms (less than a 15 minute drive away from Woodstock). No perfect fall day is complete without visiting a local family farm, and this one is a true gem.
You'll be able to sample their delish cheeses and maple syrup, visit the sugarhouse and see how maple syrup is made, walk one of their many nature trails, and even visit their small chapel in the woods.
Make sure to snag some goodies to take with you. Their cheeses come wrapped so they don't need to be immediately refrigerated.
Lunch Time + Glass Blowing
Simon Pearce is located in Quechee (about a 10 minute drive from Sugarbush Farms). This is the perfect spot for lunch (reservations highly recommended). The adjacent store sells their beautiful glass pieces made on-site. Make sure to go downstairs to see their glass blowers in action making these beautiful pieces.
After lunch, or before if you are waiting, walk next door to see the Quechee Covered Bridge and the beautiful Mill Pond Falls next to Simon Pearce.
Shopping Time!
No trip to Quechee, VT is complete without a stop at the Vermont Antique's Mall. This multi-floor 17,000 sq ft barn has so many great finds whether you are a collector or just love to roam and see what gems you can find.
The Quechee General Store is connected to the Vermont Antique's Mall. Here you will find lots of fall goodies including a large stock of Cabot cheeses, maple syrups, and much more.
In the same complex, you'll find the Vermont Snack Shack, the perfect spot to get a Maple Creemee!
