Dear All,
We continued our trip returning to Shanghai.
History
Shanghai was originally a fishing village along the Yangtze River Delta and dates back over a thousand years. After the First Opium War, Shanghai became a โtreaty portโ in 1842 and was divided into foreign concessions, with distinct areas for the British, French, and Americans. In the 1990s and early 2000s, Shanghai transformed into a major global city and one of the financial centers of Asia.
How to get here
If you are coming from other countries, there are at least 2 airports in Shanghai for international flights. We arrived to Pudong Airport and took the famous fast Maglev train ๐ to get to Shanghai in 10 minutes.
We took the high-speed train later to return from Beijing to Shanghai.

Where to stay
We stayed in 5* hotel Grand Kempinski Hotel Shanghai in Pudong Financial District. I can not recommend any of them. As the location - Pudong Financial District was great - to get around.

The most famous landmark of Shanghai - the waterfront along the Huangpu River. We loved the view of Pudong Financial District modern skyline. Donโt miss the North Bund at night.

Peopleโs Park
A popular gathering spot for elderly locals. The park is famous for its โmarriage market,โ where parents gather on weekends (9-18) to find potential matches for their children, posting information on boards. We also did not miss it and have been approached multiple times. The boards contain information about gender, salary, property, education and parents.

Tianzifang
A lively, artsy neighborhood in the French Concession area of Shanghai, China, famous for its maze of narrow alleyways filled with boutiques, cafes, art studios, and galleries.
