Joshua Tree National Park

Joshua Tree is a place like no where else in the US. As a designated National Park, it is fully protected, and the perfect desert playground for any outdoors-lover. The park is named after the Joshua Tree, which pepper the entire area giving it an other-worldly feel. The Joshua Tree is actually a cactus, but it looks like a tree. The other main feature of the park are the incredible rock structures, which are great for climbing, photography, & just exploring.

The drive from Palm Springs to Joshua Tree is about 50 minutes, which makes it the perfect day trip if you're trying to enjoy some nature during your visit to the desert.

Depending on traffic, you'll want to enter the park either from the West Entrance or the South Entrance. You can also decide which park entrance you'd like to enter based on what you'd like to prioritize doing in the park.
