Weather
The best time to visit Mumbai is during the winter months, from October to March, when the weather is mild and sunny. The monsoon season lasts from June to September, so it's best to avoid traveling during this time if possible.
Clothing
While you can wear whatever you want, it is a conservative country and as such, it is customary to cover your knees, when outside. Knee-length skirts are great because they are light and flowy which helps keep you cool
Watch out for sexual harassment. Groping at train stations is prevalent, so keep your back to a wall when you stop to look at your phone. Just keep your wits about you and if you do wear shorts/short clothing out be aware of your surroundings. To enter temples or religious places you will most likely be required to cover your knees and shoulders as there is a large Muslim population.
Currency
The national currency of India is the Rupee. The exchange rate is in your favor. It’s about $1 USD to 74.92 Rupees. There is an app called Global Convert on the Apple App Store. It’s what I use for conversions around the world.
