Discover Sherbrooke: A Vibrant Escape to Canada's Eastern Townships
Federica
In the Canadian countryside, not far from the US border, Sherbrooke awaits you!
I've created this guide based on my Erasmus experience in Sherbrooke, Canada.
The city is just three hours by bus from Montreal, just close to the US border.
Since it's in the open countryside, the city offers a lot of nature-related activities (as Canadians love) and good places to have fun!
If you'd like to experience quiet life in Canada, Sherbrooke (Sherby for its friends) is the right place to go!
Or, if you like the on-the-road experience, it can be the right stop in between big cities.

Sherbrooke info
Sherbrooke is a countryside town, just 1h from the US border and it's been my home for four months when I was at uni, so it holds a special place in my heart. However, there are a few things to keep in mind before visiting:
- Sherbrooke it's located in Québec, the French province of Canada, so people there speak Québecois, a variation of French.
- The best visiting months are in the summer: June, July and August when temperatures are warmer.
- The winter there is waaaaay longer than in the rest of the world. There's snow usually from October to March, at least.
- If you like to visit in September, pack winter clothes just in case. Temperatures drop fast there.
- Get ready to have your heart stolen by Canada!

Ciao!
I am a 27-year-old Italian girl with a passion for travelling!
I'm currently residing in Pordenone, Italy.
Everything I include in my guides is largely based on what I actually visited.
I have travelled a lot in my life and for different purposes: at the beginning, it was for educational purposes, but later in life for pleasure (mainly meeting up with friends from all over the world)!
Discovering the world is something I value a lot in life because I live authentically every place I visit and I inevitably leave a part of me there.
I hope you enjoy my guides!
