In this guide your destinations will consist of: Cancun, Isla Holbox, Playa Del Carmen, Tulum and Bacalar. Not only will you be provided with my personal accomodation recommendations for each area (1 Hotel, 6 Hostels) but you will also be guided on how to travel between each area along with activities and restaurant recommendations for each place. Day1 - Land into Cancun

Tired after a travel day? Don't worry, your accomodation will be the ultimate luxury for you to enjoy! Whether you are looking for luxurious accomodation in the hotel zone , or perhaps you are looking for a budget but boujee option - I've got both the perfect options for you.

Hotel Cyan Resort & Spa
@laurena
This hotel exceeded any expecatations I had of this place (based off the reviews and photos). A 20minute drive from the airport (I recommend prebooking a taxi through booking.com), located along the beachfront with a private beach, an OXXO 24/7 convenient store is infront of the hotel for all your needs. If you're looking to really treat yourself or someone you love I can recommend the seaview room with the hot tub - this is incredible and worth the money with private access to the beach too. Highly recommend!

Mezcal hostel
@laurena
This hostel is located in a quiet residential area , closeby the local bus route and a 10minute walk from the ADO station - due to this if you're arriving into Cancun airport I recommend taking the ADO bus from the airport to Cancun center as you will save some money doing this. The hostel really felt like a hotel with super helpful staff, huge grounds, a pool area, stunning bedroom and interiors and the daily activities which took place. I highly recommend this hostel. It is around 30minutes from the Hotel Zone using the R1 or R2 public bus.

How about a beach day for your first day? Allow yourself to rest and ease yourself into the trip. If you're staying at the Cyan Cancun Resort you can relax on the private beach or your pool area. However, if you're not staying at a beachfront hotel - it can be difficult to find a beach as a lot of the hotels in the hotelzone are private access only for residents, but not to worry! I would of course find an alternative for us backpackers , and I found not one but two options of perfect public beaches in the Cancun Hotel Zone for you to soak up the white sand, crystal blue water beaches.
