Boston Guide

Boston Guide

Angelina Ranstrom
Boston, the capital city of Massachusetts, is a vibrant and historic metropolis that effortlessly blends tradition with modernity. Steeped in American history, Boston played a pivotal role in the Revolutionary War, and its cobblestone streets echo tales of the past. Home to prestigious universities like Harvard and MIT, the city is a hub of intellectual and cultural energy. Visitors can explore iconic landmarks such as the Freedom Trail, which weaves through historic sites like the Old North Church and Paul Revere's House. The Boston Common and Public Garden offer green spaces for relaxation, while the bustling neighborhoods of Beacon Hill and Back Bay showcase charming brownstones and trendy boutiques. Please note: As I come back and find new places, I’ll be updating this guide.

Getting Around

Boston is known for its walkability, with the option of using the subway (T) for longer distances. Recharge your reusable Charlie Card at underground station kiosks and use google maps for an easy subway experience. The subway lines are color-coded (green, red, orange, blue, and silver). While a car isn't essential for most, the ParkBoston app is useful for those who choose to drive or rent a car.

Neighborhoods

Cobblestone streets add a touch of historic charm to many neighborhoods in Boston. These unevenly paved roads create a picturesque atmosphere, inviting residents and visitors to stroll through the city's rich history.
