The adventure for beach lovers begins in a dirt track neighborhood in the city of Ubatuba, on the coast of São Paulo, Itamambuca.

We stayed in a very unusual Airbnb because of its construction. The entire structure is made of hyperadobe and its rustic decor makes us feel even closer to the environment.

The sand on the beach is super soft, and just so you can imagine how close we were, after a swim we could go home, take a shower and then go back to the beach, all with the greatest of ease.

The waves had their moments, you can see the wave forecasts on this website. Many surfers use it to analyze good surfing days

Surf lessons - yes, we did!

As the place is very famous for surfing, there are several surf schools in the area, the most famous being Zecão's School.

Zecão was a former surf athlete who took part in numerous championships and has traveled to many places to surf around the world. Today, retired from the sport, he decided to open a surf school for the community and local children and then expand his business to tourists.

That’s me! 🩵

And knowing this, we took part in our class, which is super complete, with training outside and in the water, passing by the river and then in the boos, which is the sea!

The beginners' class costs R$200.00 per person and lasts 5 hours. In the sea, you have an instructor all to yourself, so there's no danger of being left helpless or having any kind of accident

If you're the adventurous type, it's definitely worth it! And at the end you get a free gift.

The best part of the guide - restaurants

I've never seen a beach area with so many delicious options. Here are some of the options:

Na Mata Pizzaria Artesanal

All of them are on the access road to the condominium and Itamambuca beach. They are also easily accessible, so you don't need a car to get between the restaurants and the beach.

Next time we want to come back, to do more activities and hike more trails, it's in our plans!
