The main route spans 42 kilometers, traversing the entire city and offering a captivating journey through Budapest’s historic streets and stunning vistas.

The Hortobágy Puszta, an expansive grassland in eastern Hungary, is a cultural haven showcasing traditional Hungarian cowboy (csikós) performances, horseback riding exhibitions, and cultural festivities celebrating the region’s rich heritage and unique landscape. Located just a 2-hour drive from Budapest or a 3-hour train ride, it sits near Debrecen.
An annual highlight is the Hortobágyi Lovasnapok (Hortobágy Equestrian Days), which has evolved over the decades into a prominent regional event renowned beyond national borders. This event aims to showcase the historical and contemporary aspects of Hortobágy’s pastoral culture and the horse breeding legacy of Mátai Ménes. The event attracts professional riders, amateurs, and horse enthusiasts of all ages, offering a comprehensive glimpse into Hungarian equestrian life.
