We arrived at Keflavik airport (like any tourist) and there we arranged a car rental. We booked the car through Rentalcars (https://www.rentalcars.com) and chose the lowest price. Based on the recommendation of a friend who has already been to Iceland a few times, we rented an ordinary, small car, which was enough for the trip along the main road of the Golden Ring.

Don't forget car insurance, if the company offers you, take the best one (even though it may be more expensive, but definitely needed in Iceland).

Always follow the country's regulations, especially the speed limit. We got a fine for speeding and it wasn't exactly the lowest fine (around 300 euros).

Since it was our first time here, we decided to drive around the island.

(Foss = waterfall)

We started our trip from Seljalandsfoss around the island and ended up in Reykjavík.
