Bangkok in 48 Hours: An Itinerary Designed by a Local Expert

Welcome to my hometown! I know Bangkok can be overwhelming for first-time visitors, especially if you only have 48 hours to explore. But don't worry, I got you!
Born and raised in Bangkok and now a blogger traveling the world, I spend 2 months out of every year traveling my home country as if I were a tourist. This gives me the best vantage point that combines a visitor's wonder with a local's cultural insights. I now share that vantage point through the travel content I create.
Bangkok offers everything from historical grandiosity, and cultural and culinary indulgence, to a stunning modern skyline. This itinerary I’ve carefully put together guarantees you everything across the board in as little time as possible. Treat it as your trial run of Bangkok and save everything else for when you return!
Thank you for taking an interest in my home. I can't wait to help you explore it in the most magical way I can. Enjoy!

How to Use This Itinerary
This exact itinerary works best on a Friday-Saturday schedule as it includes a weekend market.
However, if you absolutely cannot make it on a Friday-Saturday schedule, I recommend following the itinerary over weekdays instead of pushing it fully into a weekend. Bangkok is steadily becoming more popular, so the weekend crowds can easily thwart your experiences.
For those who can't make it on Saturdays, I'll be providing alternatives to the weekend market in the itinerary as well.
Recommended Hotel
For this exact itinerary, I highly recommend staying at Baan Wang Lang Riverside. The service and amenities are exceptional despite its mid-range price point.

🩵 I love my work as much as I love travel. This means that anything I provide you comes straight from my heart. I recommend places and dishes I love, and I plan your trips as if they were my own. 🩵
TOP COUNTRIES OF EXPERTISE:
🇹🇭 I'm Thai, born and raised! I grew up around Thai culture, food, and all the amazing places around Bangkok, as well as other provinces I’ve visited often.
🇰🇷 Since first getting into K-Pop when I was 13, I've learned the language and visited South Korea 16 times and still counting. I know Seoul like the back of my hand, and I have access to local resources thanks to my Korean knowledge.
🇧🇷 I spent 3 months living in Rio de Janeiro on an intensive language program. During that time, I constantly hung out with Brazilian friends, explored the city like a local, and tried every single local dish I could find.
AM I RIGHT FOR YOU? 🤔
✨ LOCAL: I love recommending hole-in-the-wall places and local favorites.
✨ CULTURAL: Beach clubs and nightclubs are out of the question for me. You can find those back home, so no need to pay for that plane ticket just to go to more. 😉
✨ HISTORY: Although I love hidden gems that make you feel like a local, if a big attraction is historically significant, I'll always recommend it!
