Rosario is a perfect destination from a quick getaway if you are staying in Buenos Aires. As one of my best friends lives there, I have visited this city many times and I have great places to recommend!

Where to stay

Most of the times I went to Rosario, I stayed with friends. However, this last time I rented an AirBnb in the Pichincha neighborhood and I found the area really nice, full of restaurants, cafes and within walking distance from the main city attractions.

What to see

These are some of the city's main attractions:

Circuito Patrimonio

As a big fan of architecture, I found in Rosario some really beautiful buildings and, most of all, lots of domes! I've marked some of my favorites, but make sure that you look up when you walk around this area, as you will find lots of surprises.

Monumento Histórico Nacional a la Bandera
@rominapol
The most important landmark in Rosario, it is very different during the day and the night so make sure you see both versions!

Where to eat

Food has had a central role every time I visited Rosario. From really fancy sushi restaurants to the best barbecues with my friend's family, I have collected a list of places for each budget and taste.

Restaurants

These places are perfect for a nice lunch or a fancy dinner.

Rock&Feller's Savoy
@rominapol
This is one of the most popular places in Rosario, offering American style food, such as burgers and ribs. They have a very special music themed decoration. The Boulevard Oroño location is the most popular but also the busiest, so I suggest trying this smaller branch that has the same food and quality but shorter wait times.

Sunderland
@rominapol
It's a very nice place for medium / big groups. The steak was perfect and portions were big, so it is perfect to share!

Safety

In the past few years, Rosario has gained fame for being a not so safe place. However, from my experience, I can say that as long as you stay in the more touristic places and take some basic safety measures (not walking alone at night, keep an eye on your belongings, the usual!), Rosario is a pretty safe place even for female solo travelers.
