Karakter is placed near the great Coral resorts. Very safe area, very luxury-type feeling. The day I went, service was a little slow. They were awesome in being able to seat us without reservation (highly recommended). Prices were a little higher than other restaurants in the island. AMAZING view of the sunset and ocean. Very romantic! I still dream about their cheese-balls, yum.

I am bias here as I will always rate local, fresh caught, quick service, with amazing prices high on my foodie lists! You pick your fishes/dishes of choice, your sauces, sides, drinks etc. And they cook/grill/fry everything TO PERFECTION. Did I mention how affordable it is for such fresh seafood? I'm talking: ahi tuna, red snapper, barracuda, shrimp, etc. My partner and I got 4 baskets worth of food, a few drinks, our total was $30! I still think about this place lol!

Playa Forti restaurant made our top 3 list because how authentic the dishes were. The amazing flavors, the view on the clifftop was breath-taking. The breeze was amazing. We chose to eat here after swimming with the turtles just 5 minutes from the area, and it wrapped out day up perfectly, with a sunset to match! I mean, take a look yourself...
