Located just off the highway in a cave, alongside the Mackenzie River, this hot spring is a PNW dream. Get here early to avoid the crowds as the pool is a bit cozy!

Terwilliger Hot Springs

Also known as Cougar Hot Springs, these pools are in Willamette National Forest. It’s only a 1/4 mile hike to get to this gorgeous soaking spot. Get there early (they open at sunrise) to avoid the crowds, as only 15 people are allowed in at a time!

This natural hot spring in Eastern Oregon is located along the banks of the Owyhee River in Owyhee River Canyon. It’s close proximity to the highway makes it decently easy to get to. There are multiple pools with different temperatures. Water can get pretty hot, so be sure to test the water before submerging. These hot springs are only open for day use. Be sure to watch out for poison ivy and to leave no trace.

These hot springs are located practically in the middle of nowhere. The spring features a single pool with gorgeous views of Oregon’s high desert region. The springs are located at the end of a long gravel/dirt road, which can get impassable if there are heavy rains. BLM Camping is available nearby.

This Eastern Oregon hot springs resort is located in part of the Great Basin region, in Lake County. Reservations must be made ahead of time to stay at the resort in order to soak. There are multiple pools, inside and outside available for guests.
