Train Pass recommendation
We recommend purchasing the SBB half fare card (120CHF). If your purchase the recommended 6 day Berner Oberland Pass and the trains to and from Zürich, (along with any other trips and transportation costs in Switzerland for the rest of your trip) you will save more than that amount. You can consider it a half-off train travel coupon!
It is valid for one month, book the beginning date as the day of arrival in Switzerland.
For this trip, we recommend the Berner Oberland Pass (CHF220 - make sure to select the reduced far option if you also purchase the half fare card). This is the best option as it will give you access to a broad range of activities, including gondolas, boats and trains in the whole region.
