Tasting Italy: Best restaurants in Cagliari, Sardinia🍝

This is my favorite Sardinian restaurant in Cagliari. The restaurant is small and cozy and it has many traditional handicrafts products hanging on the walls 🎭 you can feel the traditional atmosphere as soon as you walk in! The service is very attentive, quick, smiling and not at all intrusive. The best part… the food!! I’d suggest to try “Casu Furriau” as a starter, “Malloreddus with Goat Ragout and Saffron” as a main course, and “Sebadas” as dessert. If you love cheese, these won’t disappoint you! Everything in their menu is tasty and authentic Sardinian so feel free to try as many things as you can✨

If you’re looking for one of the best restaurants in Cagliari with fresh fish, this restaurant is for you! The place is stunning, you have the amazing view of the sea, it’s like you’re eating on a stationary ship. Very elegant! I’ve been there for my birthday and I couldn’t have wished for a better place. It is definitely a bit pricey so if you don’t have a specific budget, I’d suggest you to try a mix of fish starters so that you can taste the majority of them in small portions. Then, don’t miss the “Linguine Pasta noodles with lobster” 🦞una prelibatezza!

Antica Cagliari is located in the district of Marina (one of the nicest street of the old center of Cagliari) The staff is very welcoming and efficient! If you’d rather eat closer to the beach, you can also find a second location or this restaurant at Poetto beach, in Cagliari. I reccomend trying la “Zuppa di cozze (mussels chowder)” as starter and “Paccheri with prawns, guanciale and fresh tomato” for the main course. I always pick these and I never get tired of it🍝highly recommended!

This restaurant is close to Bastione St.Remy (beautiful landmark in Cagliari), and is located in an old building where the atmosphere is intimate and welcoming. The staff is helpful and very kind! Only good things to say about the food: delicious, prepared using high quality, fresh ingredients. Don’t forget to match your food with a local wine 🍷
