This is a locals' favourite, not touristic and not fancy at all. At Bar Ramon you find the best quality tapas, in a small, noisy and very casual environment. Making a reservation is a must.

Most people go to Ciudad Condal, Vinitus or Cerveseria Catalana (which, all of them are actually very good) but not many tourist know about this place. While this is the original one, there is another Bodegueta just a couple of streets up on Provença street, and it's like a modern version of this. But I highly recommend going here early to get a table and taste the most basic and good tapas.

Everytime I have a visitor, I always take them to either Ciudad Condal, Vinitus or Cerveseria Catalana. They all have the same menu, they are all very touristic, however the price / quality is extremely good. On the other hand, they basically have ALL the Catalan tapas that you would have to try once you come to Barcelona. So this is the perfect place to try all of them. Small portions and portions by unit, you get to try a lot and you don't pay high prices!

Definitely one of my favourite tapas restaurants. It is very very small and they don't take reservations so you might have to wait. Everything they have is delicious, especially the bunuelos!

Not sure if this is really Spanish food but it is a beautiful place with organic wines and delicious food. Perfect for a date, they have a menu that is changing like every 2 weeks and everything they have is very unique and tasty.

A classic in Barcelona. Everyone who goes to Barcelona will recommend you this place and they are not wrong. It is on the more expensive side, however you have everything you need: incredibly delicious food, the seating at the bar with the noise of yelling chefs, or the tables at the back which you reach by walking through the kitchen. It's got everything.

La Pepita

To be honest, this place was my favourite ever for years and years. I used to take every single friend to La Pepita. At one point it got too touristy and too crowded and felt like the quality wasn't there. However, I think if you go for lunch or at an early time, when it's not too crowded, the service and the quality of the food is still better. Give it a go, cause it's one of the places that have veryu unique tastes and delicious food!

An old, tiny tapas bar in Gracia where it gets full with locals. Try their octopus, and some local wine, you won't regret it.

This place has a very small menu, with offerings changing seasonally, I love the vibe cause the place is super small and there is a big table, so it's possible that you meet the people next to you. If you are around Gracia neighbourhood, give it a try cause the food is delicious!
