If you're not in the mood for smoothie bowls, try the local dishes! We love the Sate Tempe, Tempe Rendang, and Chicken Sambal. They also offer plenty of vegetarian options.

Optimiz Prime is one of our favorite spots on the island! They serve local dishes with a unique twist and offer amazing drinks. The relaxing atmosphere and music enhance the overall experience.
We highly recommend trying the Fried Rendang Noodles with Tempe, Chicken Paprika Sauce, and the Optimiz Tofu Tek—these dishes are absolute favorites!

zZz Warung is the most popular spot on Gili Air, and it’s easy to see why! The food is incredibly affordable and absolutely delicious.
Around 5:30 PM, it gets so busy that people often line up and tables are rearranged. To avoid the crowds, try to arrive earlier, perhaps for a late lunch.
Our favorites include the Cap Cay, Vegetable Curry, and Tempe Sate. For a tasty snack, don’t miss the Martabaks, available with or without chicken and cheese.

Lockdown Kitchen is great for both delivery and dining in. They offer a variety of local dishes, burgers, and sandwiches at affordable prices.
We recommend trying the Nasi Campur and the Tempe Burger. Their breakfast options are also quite good!

Firda Warung

Although we haven't eaten at Firda Warung that often, it's still a great spot with a fantastic location. When you visit, be sure to try the Tempe Ball Stick—the peanut sauce is fantastic! If you enjoy a bit of heat, the Fried Chicken Sambal is a must-try.
