Completely Vegan

Burrowing Owl
@reegan
Get the mac and cheese! The cheese is some of the best vegan cheese I've ever had. Also, check out the daily specials for some unique offerings (my go-to is the air fried chimichanga). If you eat at one vegan place in the springs, this is it.

Fern's Diner & Drinkery
@reegan
While not technically in the Springs, it is about a 15 minute drive from downtown. This is the sister restaurant to Burrowing Owl and is equally delicious. I recommend going when the weather is nice because the outside seating is part of the experience. The eclectic seating sits above a relaxing stream in the shadow of Pikes Peak. Food recommendation: chili smothered poutine - I could only eat that and be happy. But, really, everything is fantastic.

Santana's Vegan Grill
@reegan
Craving fast food? Try Santana's! I particularly enjoy the breakfast sandwich. I will say, it is not quite as fast as a larger chain restaurant, so give them some time.

Avenue 19
@reegan
This is another food hall downtown. Not everything is vegan/vegetarian friendly, but one of the restaurants is, completely. I eat at "The Joint" here - one of the absolutely best vegan restaurants I've been to. They gained immense popularity as a food truck and recently opened this brick and mortar location. Anything off of this menu will be amazing.

Strong Vegan Options

Monse's Pupuseria
@reegan
For both vegetarian and vegan diets, this place has plenty of options. Not only is their menu VERY clearly labelled (for both vegan and vegetarian) but they have multiple meat-alternative options: vegan chorizo/birria/carnitas/pastor. Items that have dairy are clearly marked, and, everyone who works there is so friendly and open to walking you through your options!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Reegan
I love planning my own road trips. I spend days crafting the ideal route, where I will stay, and a list of potential things to do and places to eat. I always try to find local (vegetarian friendly) restaurants and interesting breweries/distilleries. My road trips typically involve visiting national parks, interesting destinations and some/all camping! If we have similar interests, please check out my guides.
