Visit Majestic Perito Moreno Glacier - El Calafate
Note about the prices: Please keep in mind that the prices I stated for some things, were the prices when I was there and that the prices are constantly changing in Argentina due to the inflation. That's why in my guide, I've provided prices in Euros for reference.
EL CALAFATE
El Calafate is located on the shore of Lake Argentino, the largest lake in the country. Due to its proximity to the Perito Moreno Glacier, the city is an absolute tourist magnet and countless restaurants, tour operators, and souvenir shops with handicraft products line the main street.
The town also serves as the perfect starting point to explore Los Glaciares National Park, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Calafate
The city is named after the calafate berries that grow in the region. Among others, they are used in the production of jam and ice cream. You should definitely try it while you're there.
