Guide: Ayutthaya
This is a DIY tour in Ayutthaya. No tours going to or going around Ayutthaya, just a train, a boat and rented out a tuktuk to go around.
Already at the Bangkok Main Train Station at 7am to book the earliest available ticket to Ayutthaya, which at the time was 8:30am. I also checked online for the train schedule to see my options.
After arriving at Ayutthaya, I immediately bought my ticket going back as it can get sold out fast since some stay the night. I initially bought my ticket for 5:30pm. You may have your time adjusted to an earlier slot if needed. Just show your ticket at the station and they'll gladly adjust your time.
Once I've purchased my ticket back, went out and got on the boat to cross the river then booked my tuktuk to go around.
The list here is the exact order I went through Ayutthaya. The drivers would have a list of their own as well but since there were others that weren't there or more of the less popular temples, he was more than happy to bring the tuktuk around those areas.
