Exclusive promo code inside. ✨️ After spending six months travelling almost every corner of Georgia, we have come up with this perfect route that really epitomises what this beautiful country has to offer. With seven days in Georgia, you can visit the wine region, the capital, and the mountains: 📍Tbilisi 🍷🚠 📍Kazbegi 🥾🏔 📍Telavi 🥂 This itinerary will give you tips on the best hikes and wine experiences, things to do in Tbilisi, how to take the local transport (marshrutka), another local transport service alternative, plus restaurants and foodie recommendations. I have also added a section about all the practical and useful things to know before you go to Georgia: best ATM for foreign cards, local taxi app, language essentials. This guide is adventure and foodie based, with a budget travel focus. But, there are also a couple of fancier/more comfortable options too.

The Best Time to Visit Georgia

To enable you to make the absolute most out of your time in the mountains, you need to head to Georgia no earlier than mid-June, maybe July to be on the safer side.

The mountains see a LOT of snow, which means that the hiking trails are really not accessible for much of the year. Between July and September, you have the best chance of hitting prime hiking conditions.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Hey! I'm Sam, and Chris and I are a couple of vegetarian foodies who have travelled through the Caucasus and Asia for over two years. We are in love with Georgia and Armenia, travelling off the beaten path, and finding local vegetarian food options. I can help you with vegetarian foodie recommendations, practical tips to manoeuvre the local transport system, city guides, itineraries, and general queries about the region. I find that travel is best when experiencing a place as a local, so I will always recommend local guesthouses, local restaurants, local transport if it's possible, but also give alternatives to depend on your travel taste. The Caucasus seems to still be off the typical tourist trail, and it really is such a beautiful corner of the world that is full of culture, natural beauty, and delicious food. Take a look at my guides and services, and come say hi. I'm sure that you will fall in love with this part of the world too! You can find us on social media platforms as @relentlessroaming
