Nestled on the Adriatic Sea, Montenegro is a captivating country that packs a punch with its diverse landscapes, charming towns, and rich history. From stunning coastlines to rugged mountains, this Balkan nation offers a unique blend of experiences for every traveller.

Why Montenegro Should Be on Your Radar?

Montenegro is a hidden gem that is quickly gaining popularity among discerning travellers. And especially those in Europe who may want more affordable summer destinations. Its natural beauty, rich history, and warm hospitality make it a destination that will leave a lasting impression. Whether you're seeking adventure, relaxation, or cultural immersion, Montenegro has something to offer everyone. My two friends and I planned a Girls~Trip in 2023 and we absolutely loved it. Don't be fooled by the seemingly small country nestled in the mountains, it is a real gem!

Must-Visit Destinations

Budva

Kotor

This UNESCO World Heritage Site is a picturesque walled city nestled within a dramatic fjord-like bay. Hike up to the fortress for panoramic views, wander through the labyrinthine Old Town, or take a boat trip to the nearby islands. For the CAT LOVERS ~make sure to visit the cat museum!!!

While in Kotor, you could book a tour to Tivat and the Blue Cave. We booked our trip via Knez Lipovac ships and paid 25 euros per person, for about 6 hours.  Please reach out to them for more updated packages.

Podgorica

Montenegro's capital city offers a glimpse into the country's modern side. Visit the Millennium Bridge, stroll through King Nikola's Park, or explore the vibrant Ribnica River district with its cafes and bars.

Herceg Novi

This charming coastal town boasts a Venetian-influenced Old Town, a beautiful promenade lined with cafes and restaurants, and stunning views of the Bay of Kotor. Don't miss the nearby Blue Cave, a natural wonder accessible by boat.

Ulcinj

This historic town on the southern coast is known for its long sandy beaches, including the famous Velika Plaza (Long Beach), a haven for kite surfers and sunbathers. Discover the Old Town's Ottoman architecture and visit the Ada Bojana island, a unique river delta ecosystem.

Experiences to Savor

Coastal Bliss: Relax on Montenegro's pristine beaches, go swimming, snorkelling, or diving in the crystal-clear waters, or take a scenic boat trip along the coast.

Mountain Adventures: Hike in the rugged Durmitor National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with dramatic canyons, glacial lakes, and snow-capped peaks. Go rafting on the Tara River, Europe's deepest canyon.

Historical Exploration: Delve into Montenegro's rich past by visiting medieval monasteries, ancient ruins, and charming old towns.

Culinary delights: Indulge in fresh seafood, traditional Montenegrin dishes like "cevapi" (grilled minced meat), or savor local wines and brandies (the prices are really good).
