To get to Tayrona Nationalpark you have to take a bus from Santa Marta, the drive is around 1-1.5 hours long and will directly take you to the entrance. There you have to pay a fee of 20USD and you can pay in Cash. Don´t forget to put on some suncream and mosquito spray, before you enter.
The hike to San Juan del Cabo is around 2h, if you do not want to walk you could also take a horse. I would recommend the hike if you are fit, where ever you walk you will have an amazing view.
Hostels
Good to know
You can get your tours easily over your hostels and see which one is fitting you best. If you want to get outside of Cartagena to Santa Marta and Tayrona Nationalpark, you can purchase your bus ticket either online over RedCoach or directly at the terminal.
Don´t forget to bring some cash, especially outside of Cartagena or at Streetfood stands, they don´t accept card.
