How To Get To Martha's Vineyard

Martha's Vineyard is easy to get to from The Cape and from Boston. If you are flying, the best airport to fly into is Boston Logan International Airport. From the airport you can drive or take a bus to Hyannis and catch the ferry. Boston to Hyannis is about an hour driven.  From Hyannis the ferry only takes about two hours. You can also catch a ferry from Falmouth, Woods Hole, and New Bedford.

Visit The Famous Gingerbread Houses

One of the most unique things you can see on Martha's Vineyard are the fairytale like gingerbread houses in Oak Bluffs. The gingerbread houses are a great activity when first stepping off the ferry on the Vineyard, as they are located just a few steps from the terminal.

There is nothing like the Cape and Islands golden beaches. Martha's Vineyard is an Island so there is always a beach nearby. My favorite beaches on the Vineyard are Lighthouse Beach, South Beach, Long Point Beach, Squibnocket Beach, Lambert's Cove Beach, and Inkwell Beach.

If you are doing a Martha's Vineyard day trip than Inkwell Beach is the easiest to get to from the ferries, although the island is easy to get around.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Hey, Im Daisy. I have a Pomeranian and I love coffee. I started my travel journey on my gap year. Going in to my gap year I didn’t really know what I was going to do so I got a job at a coffee shop. For half the year I saved up a ton of money and became more and more interested in traveling. After the holidays I took my savings and set off to Spain and travelled around Europe. After backpacking through Europe I realized that I had found my passion! I have my own blog called Daisies Abroad and I write for the popular travel community We Are Travel Girls (as seen in Forbes, NY Times, Harper's Bazaar, and more.) I also have started my travel planning business that has been extremely successful so far! I love anything to do with travel so please let me know if I can help in any way!
