Day One - Nice

The first day was about getting to Nice. I get up early and catch a train, arriving around 3pm. Make sure you arrive at least by afternoon. If you need to fly from far away, maybe start your trip one day earlier. Nice is a great base to explore the rest of the wonderful places of the French Riviera. When you arrive, the first thing you will want to do is get checked into your hotel.

I was on a tight budget, and decided to book a place that looked nice, but was cheap too. It ended up being close to the station, and I was glad not to have to walk around Nice all over again carrying my bulky suitcase. Of course, you could also choose other hotels if your budget is bigger, or if you have other needs.

A very area to stay would be Promenade des Anglais, right by the sea. I checked into my hotel and rested in my room for a while, it had been a long trip and I had to wake up early. After that, I decided to explore a little of Nice. I changed clothes and left the hotel.
