San Francisco
Friday
I arrived in SF early Friday evening. I then high-tailed it to my friend’s hotel across from Union Square, the (hotel name). After dropping stuff off in the room, I quickly called an Uber’d and headed to Oracle Park to catch the back end of Red Sox/Giants game. I personally do not recommend staying near Union Square. My buddy is a part of the Red Sox staff and the hotel was good proximity to stadium, and was a good hotel for a professional sports team. But, for a solo traveler, I’d stay in Marina District (will get to why later). Grabbed a hotdog and drink at the game and called it a night. Afterwards, I had planned to Uber back to hotel, but post-game traffic and the amount of people walking around, I decided to just walk the 30 minutes back to the hotel. Never having been to this area and it being dark, I was cautious at first, but the amount of people out walk back to hotels and bars, it was extremely safe. Also, way quicker than had I waited for an Uber.
Saturday
Because my buddy was on a strict schedule, we got up and out of the hotel to try to tackle as much as possible before he had to report to the field (we barely made it back for him to catch the last bus, sweaty and winded from climbing hills on bikes). We started the day at Coffee Movement. This was recommended by a friend who lived in SF for 5+ years.
