STARBRIGHT COFFEE
@ItchyFeetOnTheCheap
Traditional Malay style coffee is rich and chocolatey, and it's also usually served in a bag. Get your bag of coffee from Auntie Evelyn' Ang who has been making it for 40 years.

Innland Bakery - 留念冰廳-港式菠蘿包
@ItchyFeetOnTheCheap
This Chinese bakery has been around for a while, but they continue to try new things and come out with new fusion products - like the Vietnamese lemongrass sandwich on a polo (or pineapple) bun. Grab something to snack on at their street-side counter, or pop into the cafe to sit and eat.

Pitt Street Koay Teow Th'ng (Eel Fish Ball Noodle)
@ItchyFeetOnTheCheap
One of the best breakfasts we had in Penang. You really only have 2 options here: dry or soup. Either way you're going to get perfect koay teow noodles with the fluffiest fish balls you've ever had. The fish balls are actually made with eel, which is pretty unique, but it all makes sense when you try them. You can also try the most deadly coffee in George Town - their Milo mixed white coffee.

Tai Tong Restaurant
@ItchyFeetOnTheCheap
One of many tasty dim sum restaurants in George Town. Their egg tarts are some of the best in the world. Also, you can't not get their BBQ pork buns.

Guangzhou Cake House
@ItchyFeetOnTheCheap
A little booth with Chinese baked goods like sesame balls, egg tarts, and walnut cookies. Since you're on Thatch, I think I can safely say that the grandma running the booth has been baking since before you were born.

Weng Kei Wantan Mee
@ItchyFeetOnTheCheap
I am a bit obssessed with Chinese style bbq pork, or char siu. This might be the best I've ever had. Get yours with rice or noodles, but I recommend the noodles, which are apparently made with duck eggs instead of chicken. They're springy with a bit of a bite. Also try their roast pork belly which is crispy and juicy. In fact, just order the mixed pork noodles and you're going to be a happy customer. Although, that doesn't come with a wonton, so order that too. Order it all - you won't be disappointed.
