Where to eat? Huecas cuencanas, obviously.
A "Hueca" is literality a small, local know and not tourist place to eat. In a "hueca" you will find lots of local people and it is your opportunity to get in touch with traditional flavors and taste of the city. Fortunately, Cuenca is full of amazing places like this, from the breakfast to after dinner. In Las Herrerias, you would find a lot of small places that sell humita, tamal and bolon. Remember the coffee or horchata to get a perfect match!

We all adore snacks! Tropical Hot Dog's are very famous among universitarians. They look as normal hot dog's but if you order the complete version with mayonnaise and onions and the coconut juice, this place is the end of the world.

In Plaza de San Sebastian, you will find a big blue house. It is not just a cute colonial style place, buy they made amazing desserts and the beer is really convenient.
