Melaka is really nice place and very interesting place for those who loves museum and historical sites. There's tons of historical sites about Melaka Sultanate and both Portuguese and Dutch colonialization leftover.
One of them that I visit is Etnography and Historical Museum, it has completed and thorough collection from first Melaka Sultanate to Colonialization by Dutch's Army/VOC.
If you want to visit more of chill place, you can take a walk around night market like Jonker or Uptown Pahlawan Market.
Though, if you are muslim and looking for more halal options, Uptown Pahlawan Market is more suitable because halal options in Jonker Street is quite limited.
Next, you can also strolls around Melaka River either by boat or walking around the side of the river
Occasionally you might spots huge lizard swimming around the river.
Aside from that, you can dine in cafes or foodcourt on riverside. You can also pick accommodations near riverside as well.
To wrap up, you can take a look at almost entire Melaka view with Taming Sari Tower. With 80 meters of heights, you can see the beach, river, and all beauty of Melaka.
