Below you'll be able to discover local restaurants, tea stalls, convenience and mega-stores, hiking paths, and more!
For foreigners: I've given a few helpful tips about renewing your visa and what that process might look like.
I truly hope this guide is helpful and that you learn about a new place or flavor of this incredible area of Himachal Pradesh.
This guide is meant to change because not all of the establishments are permanent in the area. My hope and effort is to try and update the guide as often as I can to provide you all with the best service possible.

Uncle’s Parantha Shop
@melissakatz
Get one of the best paranthas in McLeod here. The very kind and friendly owner serves potato, paneer and plain paranthas almost every morning starting around 7:30-8am.
Depending on the day’s traffic he stops around 10-11:30. Selling around 250 paranthas per day.
You can also order a tea and omelette from Ajju’s tea shop next door and have a complete breakfast!

Anju Tea Stall
@melissakatz
You can find it just near Mcleodganj’s main intersection (called main chowk) on TCV road. There is also a taxi stand nearby for further reference.
One of the other consistently tasty tea shops on the same road as Ajju’s tea shop and the Uncle’s parantha shop. They’re happy to serve you tea where ever you sit on the benches outside or inside one of the little restaurants.
