Vancouver Weekend!

Vancouver Weekend!

Anushka Maheshwari
Here's a guide to one of my favorite places in Canada! I love exploring food places in Vancouver, so you'll find a lot of food recommendations and a couple of parks that I absolutely love to visit. I would suggest going to one park each day since most parks take two to three hours to cover and spend your evenings getting the best food downtown. To make the bookings more accessible, I am throwing in some hotel options for you as well. Hope you fall in love with this city just as I have! :)

Things to do

Stanley Park
@anushkamaheshwari
British Columbia has some of the most beautiful parks in the world and this is certainly one of them. My favorite thing to do here is to bike around the park on the seawall. There are also smaller trails all around the park for people to explore.

Capilano Suspension Bridge Park
@anushkamaheshwari
As the name suggests, this park is famous for its suspension bridge which was originally built with hemp ropes and cedar planks, which alone is worth the ticket price. But there is more, you can find many smaller bridges strung across the entire old-growth forest with so many gorgeous views.

Granville Island
@anushkamaheshwari
I would recommend making a day trip out of it. Check out the Granville Island Public Market for great local food options. The island is a perfect showcase of art, with art galleries and local performers all around the island.

Ramen Danbo
@krisbel
The best ramen I've eaten in Vancouver. Also, the favorite of all my Japanese friends as it is quite authentic. They have an online stamp card, and you can get free gyoza or ramen if you get enough stamps from your visits. Be aware that it's really popular so there's a line almost all the time. I would recommend being there as soon as they open at 11 am if you don't want to wait.

24 Train Express Noodle House
@krisbel
A very nice Vietnamese restaurant if you're looking for some comfort food. There is a wide variety of dishes to choose from. The taste is delicate and not too strong. They offer free refillable tea with their food so feel free to ask for it if they didn't offer it when you sat down.

Nero waffles
@krisbel
Their sweet and salty waffles are really good. It gets full fast, so it is recommended to go just as it opens or for dinner when there are not many customers.

Breka Bakery & Café
@anushkamaheshwari
Breka is for all the bakery lovers out here. My top pick was their cranberry and walnut bread, and strawberry-filled donuts. This location is open for 24 hours, so you can also head there for your midnight cravings.

Great find for some fresh delicious hand-pulled noodles. The portions are huge, and so worth the price.
