Don't miss Reading Terminal Market, Philadelphia's famous indoor public market since opening in 1893. Here's some of my favorite stands in the market!

A History

Reading Terminal Market is on the ground floor of the old train terminal for the Reading Railroad. The marked opened  in 1893 to serve the neighborhood and commuters traveling in and out of the city. The train shed above is now part of the Pennsylvania Convention Center, but the market has remained active for over 100 years.

Getting Here

Reading Terminal Market is very centrally located and you can easily walk there from any neighborhood in Center City.

It is also very close to the 13th street station on the L line (Blue line / Market-Frankford line), and the city hall station on the B line (Orange line / Broad street line).

With over 80 merchants in the market, you can spend all day trying foods from around the region and world. There are also grocers, butchers, fishmongers, and places to buy trinkets and souvenirs.

Miller's Twist
@downtownfrankbrown
Philadelphia is famous for soft-pretzels. Miller's is a great place for Philadelphia and Amish-style pretzels. I also love the less traditional hotdog-stuffed pretzel.
