🇯🇵 Japan

Some of my favorite restaurants and things to do around Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto. I've excluded most obvious touristy things to check out, but these are places I personally love and always recommend.

Tokyo
💬As much as I enjoy vacationing in the Kansai region, Tokyo offers so much to do. There have been trips where I spend most of it just hanging out in different neighborhoods and exploring the streets aimlessly.
Central-ish Tokyo (Shinjuku, Shibuya, Ginza)
🏠I personally try to stay in Shinjuku when I can. It's a major hub for most train lines and connects you to other areas of Tokyo quickly. In terms of food and things to do, not really my fav. But it makes for a nice home base.
CoCo Ichibanya Shinjukuku Akebonobashi Station
@microcake
$ - Quite frankly, go to ANY CoCo Ichibanya. I freaking love this chain. Yes there are better curry places in Tokyo but sometimes it's nice to just run in for some cheap delicious curry.

Isetan Shinjuku
@microcake
$$ - This is technically a mall, but I LOVE browsing their food court and eating on the rooftop park.

ARTNIA Square Enix
@microcake
$$ - A small cafe next to the main Square Enix office offers a seasonal themed menu and some desserts. A lot of merch and figurines to peruse as well.

Harukor Ainu Restaurant
@microcake
$$ - Harukor is a tiny spot serving up indigenous Japanese Ainu food. There's lot of Golden Kamuy anime memorbilia since the show put Ainu people in the mainstream.
