We spent 2 weeks exploring Cambodia. We didn't give ourselves time to visit the islands but the cities, the history and Angkor Wat were fascinating.

We did a 36 hour lay-over backpacker style which involved sleeping in the airport, sleeping in a cinema and eating a lot of food but it was worth it. I can give good recommendations for 2/3 days in Singapore as part of another countries itinerary but I wouldn't expect to be paid for Singapore alone!

There is a huge overlap between the people who have been to Asia and the people who have been to Bali for a reason.
