6 day Itinerary: Florence & Rome

If you have time take a walk to take a tour of the Accademia Gallery, where you will get to see Michelangelo's sculpture of David.

After you may want to head back to get ready for Dinner.  For this night I reccomend Trattoria 13 Gobbi.  Reservations are needed.  Once you are there order an array of dishes for the ultimate experience.

David & Accademia Gallery Tour - Florence (Tickets are included)

Today, you will be a full day tour of Tuscany.

Meet up for a full day group that takes you out to the Tuscan countryside. You will learn about the wines’ production and flavor profiles from a sommelier guide, and round out your palate with samplings of high-quality balsamic vinegar and olive and truffle oils. Also, visit the charming medieval village of San Gimignano for free time to explore the winding streets and artisan shops.

Tuscan Winery Tour

Rent a car and head out to San Gimignano .  You will stay at the below rental for the night.  Feel free to let them know that Laila recommended your stay when you book.

Once settling in to your rental,  talk a walk around San Gimignano, and try to get a table at Oliveri Bistro.  Note: Restaurants close early in off-peak months.

Prior to reaching the village, you must stop at these 2 wineries (or save one for the next day): Antinori and Casa Sola.

Today you will wander around the city with stops at its famous landmarks.

1.  Central Market & Leather Vendors - At the market you can do tastings. Tip:  buy truffle oil/salt here.  Vendors sell Italian leather goods and all prices are negotiable.  

3.  Piazza della Repubblica to gaze and take pics.  

4.  Piazza della Signoria - Drinks, small bite, and to people watch

Depending on the time you may want to head back to the hotel to freshen up for dinner

6.  Piazzale Michelangelo  20 min walk, may want to take a car as the walk will be up hill.  Capture sunset (620pm-650pm) or post sunset views of Firenze.

Dinner at Alla Vecchia Bettola or Il Santo Bevitore

If you have time and since your hotel is across the street, take a walk in the park of Villa Borghese. 

After take the long way back to the hotel stoping at the Trevi Fountain.

For Dinner head to Osteria Barberini where you made reservations prior to your trip.

In the Morning you will meet up for a small group tour of the Colosseum and neighboring ruins.

After the tour head to the neighborhood of Trastevere and indulge you self in the best pasta ever.  I recommend Da Carlone if you are a carbonara fan. 

If your up to it, after lunch walk to Piazza Navona to people watch over wine and converstation.

In the Morning you will meet up for a small group tour of the Vatican

After the tour head to Bonci.   This was once featured Netflix's Chef's Table so be prepared for a line.

After, the rest of the day is at your leisure.  Maybe shopping near the Spanish Steps might be of interest.
