This itinerary (with detailed voice prompts about each location, including logistical details) will save you HOURS of research. This is a 2 week South African itinerary including: Cape Town, wine country, beach towns along the western cape (belonging to the famous Garden Route), and a pit stop in Kruger National Park. This itinerary is best completed in their Spring/Summer months (a northern hemisphere Fall/Winter 😎). This guide is all about natural beauty, local markets, and experiencing all the different landscapes ZA has to offer. Highly reccomend renting a car to get the best experience. 

2 Week South Africa Adventure 🇿🇦

This was personally one of my favorite parts of the trip, you could easily stay here for a few more days. 

I highly recommend the wine train while you are in town. Easy, affordable, responsible way to visit multiple wineries. I reccomend the Orange route. 

This is a great little beach town about 1.5 hours outside of Cape Town. They are known for their whale season, there is also shark cage diving nearby. I visited here during the Spring months in the past and did a kayaking expedition with the whales. They would breach RIGHT in front of you. 

Anothee adorable beach town with TONS to do. You could also easily stay here for another few days. 

Besutiful coastal town with small, local farms. Some of the best produce I’ve ever had was here. We stayed at a great air bnb overlooking the water. This will be your stop-over point to catch a flight from port elizabeth to Johannesburg. 

Worth noting: there are TONS of stopping points on the drive from Plettenberg Bay to port elizabeth. I will note these below. 

You will take a flight to get here. You also will require transportation or a car to get to Kruger. Kruger itself is about 3-4 hours away from Johannesburg. Flying into Joberg is the most economical option. However, there are more local airports that can drop you off closer to your destination. Many areas also have their own private air-strips. We made the decision to stay in a more remote part of Northern Kruger in Parfuri (almost at Zimbabwe border). We chose this location because the lodge was incredible and this was an area previously not available to tourists. It is a 7 hour drive, but let me tell you, it did not disappoint.
