Beamsville & Lincoln
This is such a beautiful area right in the Niagara Escarpment and a lesser known wine region that it’s famous neighbor, Niagara-on the-Lake. But that doesn’t mean it’s any less worthy!
Beamsville and Lincoln are packed with quality local restaurants, wineries, and breweries. It’s one of those places you’ll keep coming back to because you didn’t get enough the first time around.
🏠Stay
Here are a list of my favorite stays in the area, all conveniently located to the wineries and restaurants.
Centrally located and within a 10 min drive to about 17 wineries/brewery (not available on Feb 12).
This one has availability for Feb 12 weekend. But it is a 15 min drive away from the Beamsville wineries. NOTE: options for your preferred weekend in Beamsville and area are limited.
LOVE! Also centrally located but unfortunately calendar availability is fully blocked off all year (due to covid?). Keep an eye out.
This small cabin is very charming. Availability starts in April for this one. Steps away from the Vineland Estates Winery and very close to many others.
🍷Wineries

Here are some of my local favorites, also in order to visit (based on location).

🥾Hiking & Watefalls
Hiking in the Niagara Escarpment is incredibly beautiful all year around. The winter time is special though, as you’ll get to see the frozen waterfalls. There’s a few in the area!
Here is a list of hikes around Lincoln and Beamsville that you might be interested in checking out.
Ball's Falls Conservation Area
@hollymarietravels
To enrich your experience with a bit of outdoor adventure.
Well marked trail but can be slippery after it rains (be careful!). There are some ups/elevation gain.
You’ll be rewarded with a gorgeous view of the falls, so it’s worth it! 😍

Rockway Falls
@hollymarietravels
About 15-25 min hike to the falls. Can be muddy after it rains! However, it’s best to visit in Spring/early summer before the water dries up.

Louth Falls
@hollymarietravels
This one is a short walk from the parking lot. You’ll want to visit after a period of rain when the water is heavier!

Also c out this waterfall map for some waterfalls
In the area is Konkle Falls and Thirty Road Falls, which I have never visited in the winter.
