The best way to start your day is with a delicious breakfast. There are a few lovely breakfast spots in Duck that will cater to everyone from five-star brunch lovers to quick coffee fans. For the quintessential outer banks vacation, breakfast at Duck Donuts is an absolute must do. Head over for a lovely quiet morning on the sound and pop in to create your ideal custom donut. Watch them make it fresh in front of you or pop into some of the lovely shops on the boardwalk as you wait.

Morning at the Beach

After getting your delicious breakfast, take your extra donuts with you across the street to the beach. There are many entry points to the beach along the island, but for easy free access right by Duck Donuts head to Schooner Ridge beach access. Spend the day boogie boarding with a board from Kitty Hawke Kites, collecting beautiful seashells, or simply sunbathing and taking in the view. Duck beaches is named one of the top 15 family friendly beaches in the country, so there is no going wrong here!

*Note that many resorts and rentals will have there own beach access points, so you may be able to head 'home' to get to the beach rather than using the public entrance
